Rusty's Control Arms
Rusty's advertises a set of LCAs with a bend in them for using stock wheels. Does anyone have any experiences with these? The website says it'll allow you to run 33s on stock rims without rubbing. I'm a little skeptical of that. I know a 33 would rub the fender, but after i have that trimmed up, will i face other issues? Here's the product:

Bad experiences with these, good ones? Looks like they're made for special for your lift height which is good.

You can't just install the LCAs & run 33s.

he mentioned trimming the fender in addition to these. He sure could run them without a lift. They make them custom to what you need.

Yes, sorry i haven't had much time to get my profile up in shape. I'm lifted 4.5 inches, actual lift between 5 and 5.5. I just want to know if these would allow me to run around 4.5-5.0 BS on my wheels. Lift laws, need fender coverage, not a bushwacker fan, ect. Everyone talks about LCA rubbing and I just wondered if this is an effective fix for that issue.

You can also add a washer or two to your steering stops to compensate. You'll lose a little bit of turning radius, but it should do the trick if it's that important to you.

I do believe if it were me I would start liking a quality flair and a proper size wheel with 3 3/4" to 4" max BS. Then use a HD set of Adj. U/LCA's and get all you have paid for with your lift.
IMHO you will be much happier with the setup and you can call Rustys and speak with him I have on quite a few different times over the last 3 yrs and many $$$$ later. He is a great help on setups and parts most of all when I increased my lift to 4 1/2" and upgraded everything to HD items.

No, those control arms seem to be stock length and you have a sizable lift. Also, if you plan on off-roading, don't buy poly bushing control arms.
I believe the TJ and XJ have the same axle dimensions, if so, you can do what I did on my TJ to run 4.5BS wheels with 33's -- simply extend the steering stops ever so slightly until the tires don't rub at lock. Downside is a slight loss of steering radius. But I'm saving .5-1in of tires sticking out.
