Default Rustys 4.5" lift front coil problem

I have a pretty new rustys full leaf kit put on my xj. New lower control arms and stock uppers.

My springs seem to be bowing and I think this is causing the jeep to sit higher on one side.

I'm guessing that a long arm kit is the only way to correct this. I've tried adjusting the lower control arms out at the factory place. Non-adjustable lowers..

Pictures are on a lift with axles at full extension

These two may have been with a jack on the axle

It's a 4.5" front with 4.5" springs and lower control arms 5" rear with full 3.5" leafs and 1.5" shackles.

Beat me to it. Either get a Control Arm Drop kit and reuse your stock arms or get a set of adjustable upper and lower control arms.

When it's actually sitting on it's own weight how do the springs look? When it droops the axle moves back a little and the springs will bow, adjustable arms or not.

The two pics he posted were on jackstands. So still got some bow in them.

Long arms would give better ride and more flex.. But the problem can be fixed with Adjustable uppers Control arms.

Look closer the jeep is on jack stands, the axle is at full droop in the first two and he says may have a jack in the others but it's still on jack stands and not it's own weight. Take it off stands and just a jack and you'll get a better pic.

Ok OP, move those jack stands under the axle instead and retake is a few pics so we can just clarify the weight issue. (Just be careful please)

Just drop the thing on its own weight and see where it stands, if your front part of your coils are hitting the bumpstop tower you need to lengthen your lowers, if its hitting the rear (unlikely) your arms are too long.

It was on a lift actually. I'm in the process of putting a head gasket on it as it didn't make it home last night. That's what happens when you buy motors off Craigslist. FML
