My jeep runs rough at idol and makes a loud sucking noise threw the air box. Engine sounds like its missing but all plugs are fine. Its a 2000 cherokee ho. I have changed the tps, iac, cleaned throttle body spotless, I cant figgure out whats wrong. No check engine light. Any help would be awsomee!!

check all of the vacuum lines that are around the throttle body. I had one that was similar and found one of the rubber elbows dry rotted and split. do it while its running and see if you can tell where the hissing sound is coming from.

I have checked all vacume lines and elbows. The sucking is coming from the intake. Its fin loudddd! Sounds like a jet plane.

Is it a stock airbox or aftermarket? Some aftermarket ones are pretty damn noisy. Doesn't explain the rough idle though.

No shes a stocker box and intake tube. I think im just going to take it in to the shop tomarow.

hissing and poor idle is vacuum leak. sometimes the sound is decieving. touch stuff, put your hands around intake manifold, and throttle body mounting and see if the sound changes
