Rugged Ridge Steering Kit Tie Rod Ends
My 97 Cherokee Sport with a Rugged Ridge Crossover Steering Kit (http://www.ruggedridgeoffroad.com/jeep-steering.php). I need both new outter tie rod ends but dont want to pay $90 for 2 new tie rod ends so I was wondering If anyone knows what tie rod ends will work with this steering kit that I could get from autozone, ect.
Thanks!
Thanks!

None. They have a metric thread and anything you find at the parts store will be standard. I used to run that kit and that's one of the many reasons it's laying in my scrap pile.

Scrap pile, eh? Was it not worth running or you didn't want to replace the tie rod ends? I'm curious because I was actually looking at that setup...

Yeah. He's right. I bought the same kit and found out the same thing. When these joints go I'll just switch to rusty's or something else that uses an OTS Moog joint.
He can probably also vouch for the large dead spot that also comes with this kit. I didn't notice it at first, but when I got my lift and tires installed, it became very noticeable. Off-road I don't notice it one bit, but on the road, yikes!

Pretty much all crossover steering setups have roll steer unless you use a puck like the JCR version does. Mine wouldn't work with my axle swap and the joints were trashed after a year or so and I didn't feel like trying to modify it to make it work with the new axle.
