Ran into some trouble this weekend trying to put some hand me down Rubicon shocks on my 2001 XJ. So for starters I bought BPE brackets from Teraflex for both the front and rear. Front shocks went on no problem. Rear shocks though, I got the old bar puns removed and then had to get the bushing jammed back in one only to find the new hardware that comes with the BPE doesn’t fit the old bushing. As in the bolt won’t go through the rubber bushing and I definitely can’t fit the metal sleeve in there either.
What’s the easiest way to solve this, buy a different shock bushing that will fit the new hardware?
