it's really 1 vs. 100 with opinions on RC vs. RE. doesnt make either side right. but I'd rather go with the company that has a better track record

Its not always "you get what you pay for" if you know what you are doing.
My neighbor would be a pro golfer if not for his love of teaching. Dude builds his own clubs. Last driver he built cost him $50. Drops a ball off the tee 350 yds out. In sandals. Although he prefers barefoot.

I have nothing but good to say about RC. I have a series 2, 3" aal kit. Works rad. No sag. Rides smooth. Its no escalade but....... Smooth nonetheless. Its very capable as well.

Although, my rocker panels are cherry. Be nice to keep them that way. I smell sliders in my future. Not white castle either.
Best thing i guess is to know what you want to do with it and buy a suitable lift for what you wanna do. If you are trail riding with me in Ohio, my $500 rig w/ $2000 of add-ons will be sufficient. If you are wheelin Moab, you will probably have more in your lift than I do my entire rig.
OP- figure out what you wanna do, and do some asking about how certain rigs perform on thier set ups. Do some lookin at the build threads prob be best bet. Check the lift/tire set up thread. Filter through and find what you like, ask some dudes with the set up how it acts.

ah yeah see I wanna know how RC performs on the rocks^^
seems like a great kit for mud and trails. but when I think jeep, I assume rocks.
and when I think rocks, RC doesnt really come to mind. glad you're liking it though. have you had to replace any parts?

Here is a video of my XJ. It has a 4.5" RC X Series with full leaf packs. The picture is my old XJ 4.5" RE super flex. The RE rode so much better. The biggest problem I have with the RC kit is the johnny joints in the arms are junk and the tracbar makes alot of noise when flexing. The tracbar has a TRE on it and I'm not a fan.

I'm a rc fan the ride is a bit rough but my buddy has a sky jacker 4.5 and its just as bad and bought a JEEP! NOT A CAR!

no one has to buy a brand new kit. no one has to spend a ton of money to put together a good suspension. you can piece one together through craigslist, CF chapters, and naxja chapters.
people sell great used performance parts all the time. that's the first place you should look for everything. I mean I picked up my RE 4.5" super flex for $400 brand new...
it's just missing discos but I wont need sway bars anyway
