Default Rubicon Express Bushings

I have a 3 1/2 inch RE lift and the left rear leaf spring bushing is shot. The guys at 4 wheel parts tell me that this is a unique bushing and that I need to spend 70 bucks for a 'bushing kit'. This kind of smells.

Any insights?

Thanks,

Thanks for the pointer. I was looking for some generic bushings that would fit but it looks like I have I have pop for the RE unique bushings.

Don't do it yet! Give me a bit to track down where I bought mine. I too have the 3.5" RE leafs and I paid way less than $70. I will get back to ya.

I found my receipt.

Stengelbros.com

Front(leaf to frame) bushing RB-121 $8.92

Rear(leaf to shackle) bushing RB-71 $7.34

To replace all 4 of mine including shipping was $52.43. Have had them in for 4 months now, so far so good. Hope it helps ya.

take it easy. I don't know how anyone would've ever found this page when searching for RE bushings http://www.stengelbros.net/Rubber-Bushings_c_411.html

I too shelled out $70 for this pain in the *** of a bushing replacement. after a few hours with a hammer, a socket, and a blow torch my new ones were in.

Sorry man I know he's a well respected vendor on here, but if someone wants advice on where to find a cheaper option for a part a vendor has no right to post a link to his website for a part that's not any cheaper. That's my opinion.

are we even sure he knew about that stengle website? give the guy the benefit of the doubt. technically he was being honest, his are cheaper than 4WP's. I've been looking at jeep parts online for 3 years now and this is the first time I've heard of stenglebros too.

Your right he probably didn't know. I was wrong to make a negative statement about seriousoffroad and to be honest I have been eying some steering parts on his website. I just got excited when I saw an opportunity to spread the word about replacment bushings.

Apologies to all.

I certainly appreciate knowing about this, thanks for the info. I especially appreciate the part #s as the site is rather confusing
