Default Round Air Filter

Anyone thought of putting a round filter directly on top the TB? Perhaps with a little cowl in the hood... Flow crossed my mind but I still find it hard to believe you can straighten out air that slams into a flat on the bottom of the Intake manifold.

I've been contemplating it, want some extra input.

That's why I was thinking about a little cowl on the hood over it.
