I just bought some and I can not wait until I get them installed with my Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Flex kit.. I have only heard great things about the Bilstein shocks. Anything is a huge improvement from the RC ones my rig currently has installed.

Yeah, I have unlabeled RC shocks on mine that came with it and they're shot. Looking forward to the upgrade

I need to replace my shocks soon. Anyone have recommendations for shocks to help "soften" it up a bit again? I drive my XJ daily, so trying to find that nice balance of form and function.

Rancho RS5000X shocks ride very good. Just don't get the older RS5000 ones that are very stiff. Zone hydro shocks are very soft, but hard to find now that they're discontinued. Ebay still has a few sets. Bilsteins are great for large bumps, but for the small stuff, you can run over a quarter and tell if it's heads or tails.
