My rusty's track bar has been nothing but problems. The bolt that goes through the rod end on the frame side always comes loose. Hit a bump while turning and it creeks awfully, you go from driving down the highway to herding between the ditches.

Not that I'm backing their product at all but I used an RC track bar laying around when I put my little DD Jeep together. It's still half the size as it's competitor but it's usable on small lifts with a MOOG tie rod end in it. Usable, not desirable.

I wouldn't try to use it on anything taller than 3 inches of lift.

I have one that a buddy gave me when he upgraded to a Rock Krawler. TRE is totally shot on it. I thought about putting a new one on and running it, but then realized my stock bracket is beyond salvageable. IRO should be here any day now. Edit: just got the shipment info, will be here Friday!

The RC trackbar is from the first lift that I bought a long time ago. IIRC, I had them warranty out the tie rod end 4 times before I just built my own entire tracbar and went to heims.

The MOOG tie rod end is still good 20k miles later.

Knowing what I know now. And experiencing Death Wobble. No TRE of any brand will ever be on any track bar on any vehicle I own. Ever. I am super excited for my new Rubicon Express track bar to come in. I actually ordered one of off Amazon. Then had second thoughts and cancelled it. Glad I did because the one I ordered was for vehicles up to 4.5" of lift. After getting on Serious Offroad website I found one for a 4-6" lift. I plan on a lil more lift and the track bar off Amazon wouldve been a mistake.

I upgraded the RC TRE track bar with a kit from Iron Rock Offroad which replaces the bracket and TRE converting it to a double shear:

IR-SDSTBU XJ/ZJ Double Shear Track Bar Upgrade

I have only had it installed a couple of days but I'm happy so far.

This is probably one of the best track bars to get.

Also look into the RE HD Track Bar and Bracket depending how much lift you are running. The bracket joint can be rebuilt and also the axle bolt is larger than the stock size unlike most of the other brands.

One of my friends has the Rock Krawler set up and likes it too.

Good to know! Thanks for sharing the part number. I'll have to upgrade my RC Trackbar when the TRE wears out.

I think mine came worn out....

The PO installed it and it seemed to have excess play with <200 mi.

I started giving all my Rustys equipment a real workout 3 mo ago so far zero problems in rocks/mud or snow. IMHO very good entry level equipment the full spring 3" lift with a winch bumper/winch plus a HD rear bumper with swing out tire carrier no sag.

Do I beat mine to death no, I just enjoy off roading and old trails. No running 50+ mph on trails or rock crawling for me.

I plan to upgrade to another "Poor Made Kit" this winter a RC 4 1/2" long arm kit with other upgrades I'll wait and see how that turns out. Till then everyone have a great time wheel 'in!
