Rough Country Track Bar
My brand new Rough Country track bar sucks!!!!!! It has way too much slack in the tie rod end. I don't even know what kind of joint its even called to replace it?? Hiem Heim? Is that what its called? Can anyone tell me where or what? Id like to change or modify my bracket and put a good joint on the thing. Thanks. Oh BTW....Death Wobble is gone!

Depends what model track bar it is. If it uses the stock mount it's the 7572 model, which uses a standard tie rod end. Moog part number ER3096L

helmut...seriously? What would be wrong with buying a Rubicon Express Bracket and a replacement joint? I got on Amazon and found the whole kit for $120. I found the bracket only for $55. But I havent found the joint. At any rate. $120 for the biggest safety issue to be solved is a no brainer. I also ordered a Rustys steering conversion kit. Im actually relieved that it was easily diagnosed but a big lesson learned about things.

Oh no please dont tell me that. The tie rods are shot and I wanted the beefier steering so I bought the Rustys steering kit. I shouldve gotten on here and done more research. Ill send it back if I have to. Is there any particular thing I shouldve done if I want beefier tie rods and drag link?

If you're looking for a cheap upgrade (and I recommend you don't put anything Rusty's branded on your jeep), consider the ZJ Tie Rod upgrade. No modifications necessary, all plug and play, and much stronger than stock Cherokee steering.

I feel like an idiot with so much info at my fingertips yet I still make stupid choices. I got the RC stuff through my cousin. He had a new shop and I was trying to support him. Jeep specific stuff is the only way to go. Ive got to be more patient with this process.
