Rough Country Shocks No Recoil??
I just got some Rough Country front shocks for my 98 XJ and once I thook them out of the box, they don't recoil when you push them down.
Am I missing something or are these DOA?
Thanks

Recoil? Do you mean if you depress them, they don't automatically extend again? Should have internal hydraulic flow dampening in both directions. Not all shocks are nitrogen charged, (extend automatically due to internal nitrogen pressure). That is not a problem and many applications apply non-nitro shocks. The spring does all the lift and the shock still controls the rebound. I have applied skyjacker brand shocks in couple applications as my customer specifically required the non gas models. Note: many of our popular brand shocks are manufactured by Tenneco on this continent (Monroe).
