as far as quality..its decent. You get a problem, call them and they will gladly help you straighten it out. A bit stiff on the ride tho.

how long do you plan on owning this lifted jeep? a lift kit is a commitment to a couple years of ride quality.
I'd save up for OME or atleast RE. hell even Zone or Rusty's. RC is the last company I'd choose

Everyone hates on Rough County, but if it is what you can afford, go for it. I picked up a 4.5inch lift and it gets the job done. Not the best ride in the world, but it rides better than my 96 F-350 with a 4in Super lift. Kinda comparing apples to oranges since the jeep has coils in the front and the truck is leaf all the way around, but you get the idea.

I have that lift but with the lower control arms and it works just fine. It was a rough ride with the stock size tires but when I went up to 31" tires it smoothed right out. I guess I like it because I wasn't expecting it to ride like a caddy, it's a jeep for crying out loud! I have put 10 k miles on mine and it has had no issues( no lift kit issues). I don't know how it would be without the longer lower control arms though, maybe that's where the rough ride comes from. Maybe try to see where the nearest RC dealer is so you could pick them up and save the shipping charges and get the lower control arms too? I got mine with the LCA's for $349.99 in Washington state at pacific truck .

Everyone bashes RC that doesn't have RC.
If you wheel hard, yeah, I certainly think some quality investment is worth it, and you can afford it. They certainly don't seem to have a high failure rate. I also noticed that they seem to have less death wobble issues after install, especially on the 3" lift kit.
I say that given a choice without budget limits, BDS seems to be the better option for mixed DD and semi-heavy wheeling.
But I got mine because of cost AND I don't plan on going over rockes or playing in mud. I did want lift for deep snow (mountain road deep we'retalking here) storm surge waters during hurricanes, drive over debris (except tire slicing building debris) and other such ground clearance needs (mostly related to my storm chasing film needs and other outdoor actvities).
Many are quick to comment but forget that most people don't live as they do. But on the flip, noonewith RC kits should take the critism personnally.
I also think the price difference has something to do on whereit is made. Don't quote me, quality may still "good enough" but could be made over seas, so maybe cost savings there.

I have the 3" rc series 2 aal kit and i love it. Rides great. Performance is great. I have been rough on it too. I wheel the dogsnot out my rig. Great price and great product imho. RC customer service in my experience is second to none.
All of this is why i also bought disco's and a winch from them as well.

I'll say this.. I bought RC and wheeled it pretty hard and I've had flex issues and the leaf springs are to darn short.
I've been replacing it all with another brand for my wheeling habits.
If you are just doing light trails or it's just for looks. Fine! Get RC since your wallet is tight.
But I will not buy anything from them again.
I consider RC a entry level lift for the new guy on a buget.

As an actual user of RC products I'll say this:
I wheel the **** out of my rig, and have only one complaint.
The coils are on the stiff side. That is all.
Not many have the bread to throw down on RE stuff,
which is overpriced anyway imo.
In hindsight the only thing I would change would be to build long arms.
