ive been looking around at some roof racks for my jeep. ive looked at the cargo master 52x60, and the jcr rack. the jcr is a deal because of all the acessories, but hte shipping kills it. any body got any other suggestions for a decent roof rack.

Depends if you need more or less storage, personally I love the JCR as far as small size, low profile, uniqueness but I like the idea of the cage around the Kargo Master with extra storage options and mounting points.... I just need more room for storage but I've heard they both are super sturdy and solid... I'm going Kargo Master... but have purchased JCRs 1 Ton Steering Upgrade just to reconcile that I didnt purchase their rack...

Check out this link on Cherokeetalk.com. There is a great home built roof rack for cheap. It is broken down and shipped and you put it together.

I really like my Surco. It is light weight and plenty strong. I felt that the Surco accessories were kind of expensive, so I made my own light brackets, etc.

warrior products if you can find one close to you.
fully welded, gutter mounts, hi-lift, axe and shovel mounts, optional tire mount.
i've put over 300 pounds in mine, and stood ontop and it didn't really flex much.
i've wheeled with it full, however i was quite top heavy.
