Sway bar question
i recently bought an xj with 8" lift. it has no sway bar or links. i know this is common for higher lifted jeeps but i am getting some bad wobble. i am wanting to know if a stock sway bar and links will fit or what i need to get??

Do you hear banjos?
8" of lift, and no sway bar, that is pretty scary. You will need to aquire a SB from a JY Jeep, and the brackets. You will need a set of end links or discos that fit 8" of lift...if you are getting death wobble, you may still get it after the installation of the SB. If that is the case, search the forum....DW has been discussed many times...

What kind of wobble? Side to side or is it the wheels shaking? The sway doesn't have anything to do with DW

get yourself set up with a Swaybar like COS said. That is the cheapest and easiest route to go. Then, check out your front tire pressures and balancing, all steering and tracbar componants for worn or Badly out of adjustment pieces. I bet you will find your problem in one of the places I mentioned. I totally agree with COS in that a swaybar will not cause or eliminate Death Wobble. There are lots of guys here in Washington that have XJs with 6", 7" and 8" lifts with 33", 35" and bigger tires that run at highway speeds without swaybars all the time. It's all about having your front end componants in good shape and properly adjusted. I hope this helps.
