Okay so my rockers took the brunt of winter with all the salt and my lack of washing it while it was so cold. They're being eaten away by the rust incredibly fast and I want to replace them. I saw that some people used 2×6 metal tubing to make rock sliders, I was wondering if there are any write-ups doing this. I want to put them on to replace my dead ones and have a little protection. I have no experience with welding, but a family friend is a fabricator so I could get him to help. It's a '97 4dr.
