Decent case but in my buddys with 4.56s and 35s it's too low for trail riding. For the money I'd do a doubler. Way overpriced for what it is too. For what it cost you can buy a 4 to 1 kit and stick in a 2 low, sye and have money left over.

But I would agree a double would be the way to go....way more technically involved though.

I know it's a 4 to 1 and that's why I was saying put a 4 to 1 kit on his case, if he has a 231. It's cheaper than what people sell the 241OR for. For what they cost you can buy a used Atlas and not have to worry about the chain.

If you can get a good deal on the 241, go for it. I believe "modifying" the tunnel with a bfh a little makes it fit nice. I definitely would not pay $$ for a new one though.

Good luck with that. No adapters for that case and it'll take about 12" of lift to clear the rocks plus plating the frame to handle the weigh of them. BTW that case, can't remember the model number, has a 1.9 to 1 low and your stock case has a 2.72 to 1 so you're going backwards and with the 6.72 gears in the axles you'll need at least a 44" tire to make them worth your while.

I wouldn't do a 241j unless you find a really good deal on one. Most people want like 1200 used for them plus 200 for the speedo recalibrator if you need a speedometer. Although it would be a much better solution than a teralow kit. I have seen too many people burn out the planetary gears on those. I just finished installing my klune v doubler mated to a flipped d300 and it is a way better solution. Obviously more money and time though. What is your budget and how much time you want to put into upgrading you t-case?

Start saving your pennies. An axle swap is far from cheap and a 5 speed swap can be a little pricy, you'll need a donar vehicle.

Depending on what axles you have you'd be good with 33s and maybe even 35s. I wouldn't even bother regearing for 31s since they are only about 2" bigger than stock.
