what's the best way to mount rock sliders to my xj ?

welded is strongest. next would be bolted. followed by tape.

Op is this a serious question? How else to do think you might mount sliders? Spit on the frame and hope they stick?

Get then welded on or find some large self tappers

i was asking the best way ?not how to.i was going to weld them ,just wondering on the other ways

I have 4 Large Self threading bolts on my Unirail , then on the Pinch Rail I have 6 grade 8 bolts for my sliders

Wow you guys are a bunch of assmonkeys.

No crap he has to weld or bolt it on. I'm pretty sure he wants to know the best way to go about doing either of those things..Pros and cons of each.

well he should have been more specific in his question. and instead of saying what you think he meant, why not just answer the question the way you see fit.

Welded - stronger

Bolt in - still strong but not as much so. And you can take em off if you ever decide to sell your XJ

best way? welded to frame stiffeners then bolted to the pinch seam. the more mounting points the better. the more bars connecting the frame to the slider the better they will hold up.
