Default Rev tek 3" lift kit Questions.

Looking for a simple lift that will enable me to be able to use 31's on my 01 jeep cherokee sport. I'm new here obviously so the more info or links the better. A couple questions;

1. Will the brake lines need to be extended?

2. Any experience with this kit?

3. Should I get the add a leafs?

My wife does drive the jeep on occasion.

Kit I'm considering;

I've never heard of this kit, but lift blocks are a terrible idea no matter who made them. There are better kits out there for less as well.

That seems really high for what it comes with. Look at various vendors that have what you need and piece one together if you have the time. You will get much better components and save some money.
If you're doing it just to fit 31's you could probably go with a budget boost (shackles and spacers). Shouldn't need to extend brake lines for that.

If you need new leaf packs, look at Serious Offroad, Rusty's, etc...

Abolutely do NOT get that kit your looking at. A way nicer kit can be had for that amount of money. Besides coils/leafs or aals/LCAS/sway bar drop kit/shocks that generally come with a 3inch kit you may or may not need a t-case drop. No real need to get extended brake lines,relocate your track bar...

The 97+ xjs are picky about needing a t-case drop with 3 inches of lift. My 00 needed one. They are under 30 bucks and pretty easy to install no big deal.

Thank you everyone for the quick responses. Crossing that kit of the list. With the 31's I was hoping for a bit more clearance as well. That's why I was looking for the kit option. Looking at the rubicon express kit now.

revtek makes better stuff for import trucks, the few kits mentioned above are better. whats your budget? if you can spend some money, i'd recommend the old man emu 3" setup, with a few other small add ons. a couple of my buddies have had good luck with this kit:

Thanks for the link and info. I did look at that kit, but there are allot of negative reviews regarding its longevity. My budget is around 550. I'll have my friends with lifted trucks help me install.

my one buddy who overloads the crap out of his XJ (drives with all his tools and crap in it, probably a few hundred pounds) had some sag and blew the rear shocks out bc he kept bottoming them out.. both his own doing and not the flaw of the kit. my buddy's gf has the same kit on her jeep for 2 years or so and it's her DD and gets wheeled occasionally and it sits the same as it did when the kit was installed. her XJ has 300k miles on it now, get about 20k a year.

I have a rough country series 2 3inch lift on my jeep and this isn't my first kit from them.

I suggest the kit. If you went by what people said on the boards you couldn't buy anything lol. It's a great kit and a great price. Call there and mention your on cherokeeforum and you'll get a nice discount also.

I'm insanely happy with Zone offroad. The 3'' kit I got from them was very affordable. The shocks feel great but not amazing. But I am used to my wifes truck with billstein 5100s all around. But their customer service was bad ***!
