I'm trying to drop the tcase to put an my sye, how do you unbolt the cross member? When I try to loosen the nut, both the nut and bolt spin, how do you stop the bolt from spinning with it? Thanks guys, hope I'm missing something stupid

Damn I was afraid of that. I had my local mechanic put in a tcase drop kit a couple years back. That doesn't mean anything to your diagnosis, does it?

If it's just a hack n tap sye you shouldn't need to drop the t case.. it may make life easier but its not necessary.

Unfortunately I have a long arm kit coming too so I really need to drop this crossmember, and I don't want to cut up the frame, any ideas?

i just did my SYE with my T case in the jeep. i was all ready to pull the case untill i looked at how much room there actually is to work with it installed, i did it sittin on my **** with a trouble light and a few tools, mind you my T case needed nothing more than what came in the SYE kit, i cant say i would rebuild a case installed.

take it easy on the silicone and its a peice of cake
