I was wandering how yall removed your door. wether you just cut the hinge while the door was still on or unbolted them and then cut them. I am having trouble getting them unbolted beacuse my rachet and torx socket wont fit in the jam
If you have all 6 (3 top 3 bottom) cracked loose you can use a wrench to spin the torx head itself, instead of using the ratchet.
Otherwise you can take a grinder and cut the heads off the bolts and replace with traditional hex heads to make install easier.
Since you have a 97 your running the risk of having late model door hinges.
Do some research before you get too far ahead of yourself on this...

There will be a chunk of bolt sticking out. Grab with pliers and continue to remove. Vice grips may be needed for that.

Keep in mind the doors provide needed support to the unibody. If you plan to wheel your jeep you should look into frame stiffeners or sliders to keep your unibody straight.

^ that's not quite accurate either. Have you tried to open your hatch or rear doors when fully flexed... not easy if you can even get them open. This is because the body itself will flex and make them bind witch is a good thing because it limits actual body flex, im not saying the jeep will fold like a hot dog bun bit I imagine over some period of time of hard wheeling with no doors that there could be atleast minimal damage
Doors aren't the best for the job, but they do provide some support.
Search a bit. People complain about cracks in the unibody all the time...from being doorless.
I think 96_XJ had an XJ he managed to tweak into cracking.

Doors provide no support. They are not intended to be load bearing. stiffeners are always a good idea. Unit body damage will not be prevented or accelerated by the removal of your doors. If they were ment to be load bearing why is it that you can open them with ease when flexing? unit bodies crack from flexing over time not from being doorless. I flex my jeep doorless all the time. Nothing happens. I beat on mine doorless. Nothing happens. Just because they bind doesn't mean they are doing anything. Any weight that was actually put on the doors would just fold the thin sheet metal.

Very mature for a mod. Funny, I thought someone like you would know something simple like this. The reason I am so confident in my answer is because on jeepforum this was a huge debate. Maybe you should look at some other sites friend.
I don't typically trust everything I read on the internet if I have found evidence proving otherwise in my own real world situations.
