Rearend help
I installed a 8.25 rearend in my 1990 xj to replace a dana 35 that had worn bearings....The 8.25 came out of a 4 wheel drive 1998 model I bought for parts...I never pulled the cover off to inspect the gears but after I got the new one in, I realized it is a locked rearend....This is my daily driver and currently its only 2 wheel drive (I intend to convert it to 4x4 later this year) and when driving on ashalt and turning, the back tire(s) will bark since there is no limited slip...I'm guessing I'm just stuck with it like this but is there any cheap fix to get this back to a normal axle?

Your gonna want to open her up & see weither it was Lincoln or fossy locked.
Lincoln meaning the spiders wear welded to the carrier. (you would need to replace the carrier)
Fossy is where they weld between the teeth of the spider gears, so the spiders won't turn. (you could just replace the spider gears real easy)
