Default Rear upper shock bolt bent??

Hey all! new here but have read great advice from this forum.

I removed the old rear shocks and the bolts broke on me. I punched out 2 with no problems. (hammer and punch)

I gave the third bolt a good few hits and noticed the bolt was bending in along with the metal it is welded to. Almost like ts peeling back.... I tried taking the punch in through the access hole to hit the bolt head back the opposite direction of the bend. Not working out.

I'm wondering what I can do now. Will I have to cut through the floor?

I'll give that a shot. If it fails...what are my options?

He's got the typical solution, he's having problems with it. If it bothers you to answer a question, then just don't answer. Don't be a dick.

Maybe I missed something, but are you accusing someone of being a mick for posting a link to another CF thread. Not rules, but typical forum etiquette both tends to have users search other threads, and for others to post a link to help keep things organized (even though mods/admin has no desire to merge threads themselves...which is find).

For the OP. I ended up cutting the rear cargo floor to get access. But I also did it because I got sick of trying to deal with access issue as well as the welded mess mine was when I bought it. Of course I just realized I don't have that pic online and it's not in the new Mac. If needed, I'll post later.

which is a good search with appropriate threads on CF, JF, & NAXJA. I've done the same. No one complained. I wouldn't sweat it man. As long as the guy gets what he needs.

The guy didn't even read the first post, apparently.

This thread has nothing to do with HOW to get the bolts out. It's about "What do I do now that I'm having an issue with the typical solution..."

Pimpdaddy there just posted a Google search to something the OP is already aware of...

Thanks for the replies guys. Im going to go at it again tomorrow. Before I start any cutting I'll upload a pic to give a better idea of my issue.

If I end up having to cut, I'll most likely need a guide...

Thanks again all.

Solutions are in there as well, perhaps if you read them u would have realized that. And thanks for criticizing someone that was trying to help. You're input is invaluable. Perhaps you are right his solution is not in what I posted just trying to help which is more then you were doing bye criticizing me
