You don't need a rear sway bar. XJ's with the upcountry package came with a rear sway bar delete option. If you remove it you won't tell much of a difference.

Yes, it will improve flex, while not noticeably affecting body roll.

Yes, slightly more flex. And no, you wont feel any wobble.

I run without any sway bars. Never used them on my XJ.

Yup! My UpCountry XJ came with the rear SB delete. Pulled my build sheet and saw the various different things done to the UpCountry.

I also always wondered weather having a rear SB would help any. The civic hatch I drove had 36 way adjustable coilovers, front and rear strut bars, front and rear sway bars, front and rear lower tie bars that go in between the lca's, and a c-pillar and b-pillar bar as well. It handled like a dream. I was able to rip STi's and EVO's in curves but soo long to that cause now my XJ handles somewhat ok up front but feels like it's gonna flip in the rear. I guess I'm not use to it yet :-/

your civic had a low center of gravity and was meant to be a "racer" XJ's were designed to handle less than agreeable terrain, thus no need to have extreme handleing capabilities.

Also sounds like your asking a SUV to handle like a compact car...not gonna happen.

you would notice after removing the rear sway bar if it wasnt the size of a pencil, but being that it is, go ahead and pull it.
