rear shackle angle
I have been researching all day and have found a bunch of mixed answers about the relocator brackets... I have RC 4.5 leafs and my angle is horrible, if and when it settles it will still be at 90*. I do not want to add any more lift. The rc leafs where short so I am almost tempted to return them and go with another company. Can anybody suggest a way to fix my angle with out adding more then .5" of lift? If there is no way to do this, I am thinking about getting some 3.5 in full leafs and doing the relocation brackets, and if I do this can I get back to 4.5 of lift with the bracket? Anybody suggest a brand that the leafs will not be short and will actually have the right angle to begin with at 4.5in? Thanks

Thats a pretty well known problem with rough country leafs. Mine are extremely broken in and i still have a crap angle. I built some re-locators and man did it ride soooo much better and flex increase as well!

So who should I be looking at for leaf packs then? Do any of you guys run into this with RE or any other leafs?

relocators are not bad. they are a better ride and the ones i build only gave about a half inch of lift. give it a day maybe someone running another brand of leafs will chime in.

Thanks, if I knew that I would only gain .5 inches and no more I would order them. But throughout all the research today ive gotten .5 inches all the way up to 1.5"... I have read that it is different with every jeep...

Unless you are willing to modify (cut) the relocation bracket, RC relocation brackets WILL NOT work with stock shackles.
Check out Dukie's build...he did some mod to his relocation bracket.
Since mine was new, i added about 150 lbs of rocks in the back and that helps with breaking in the springs and it rides a bit better.
Btw, i replaced mine with OME's and they are about 0.5" longer compared to RC. My advice is just put some weight in the rear and see how it goes.
