Sometimes I get clunks from stop and go. I don't know if that's from the locker or because I have 241K miles lol. I'm not too worried about it though.

Ok, on videos it sounds pretty loud and was wondering how it felt. Manuals in sure feel it more due to how the driver is with letting the clutch go

I have a Lokka and 4.88s and sometimes, in traffic, it will pop and jerk if the locker teeth engage just right. If you're not expecting it, it can be pretty startling. I'm getting used to it though.

You should see some peoples faces when I'm maneuvering in parking lots and such. They look at me like stuff is falling off of the jeep

He said his TJ was popping and cracking and the rear wanted to move around etc. I told him to realx that being a manual, he had better get used to it because my son in laws TJ did the exact same when we locked it. I can remeber watching his TJ from a take off in front of me and wath the TJ squat and the rear shift from one side to the other. Looks crazy..

So the jerking and popping from stop and go seems to be more related to the manuals.
Uh what?? If you saw a TJ's rear axle physically moving from side-to-side that's not the fault of any locker. That means the track bar is shot.

That's why I figured people use thicker oil, to help silence the clicking

I shouldn't say a side to side, more like a jerk when the locker locks!

had an open front and lokka locker in the rear for last winter. I liked it much better than being open, its much more predictable and you dont get the one wheel peel. it does clunk, pop, and ping but you will get used to it. Totally wurf it I would do it again in a heart beat. tell you the truth if the wife didnt drive it in the winter it would be spooled

If I don't find a nice deal soon i'll most likely buy a lokka locker. $237 shipped to my door with a hardened pin.

I have a powertrax noslip lunchbox locker on my rear axle. It does not click. Much better than the loud aussie I have in the front.

Are you ordering a hardened pin separate? I don't think they offered one when I ordered my lockers.

I believe only the d35 version comes supplied with the HD pin, which is what I'll be getting
