Rear Hatch Mod
So i was thinking if i could get a donor tailgate ans some latches i would put a tail gate on the XJ and chop the rear hatch just below the glass. WHY? why not, haven't seen it done yet.

Try and find a mj tailgate and do some measuring, it might not even fit. But if it does you may need to strengthen the body where the hinges mount. Sounds cool though, good luck.

Accepting MJ tailgate donations in almost anyshape! some serious gussetting and rear end additions will have to be made, and i'm fine with it. also i'm expecting tons of minor fab work to be needed. also fine. i just need the tailgate and possible the factory pivots and pins from a MJ. i've built more with less.

ROFL... That second Jeep, the green one, I personally know that guy he comes wheeling at Wharton alot. That is a Cherokee with a MJ tailgate ... never asked how hard it was to install it though... and I believe his gate opens closes as well.
