Hey everyone i've already done some research on this topic but haven't found a solid answer. My 95 cherokee sport has a 4.5in lift but after about a month of having 2 12 Kicker L7's in the trunk i've noticed by rear end sitting a little lower. Which part of the rear is causing this?..the leaf springs or shocks? I want to keep the jeep at an even height and keep it from sagging anymore. Would upgraded shackles make a difference or should i look into new shocks and/or leaf springs? I've been interested in getting a smoother ride since this is a daily driver and i don't usually get off road so a smoother ride is optimal in whatever i end up doing. I've learned tons of stuff being on the forums and any help/insight with my situation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you inadvance

Sadly our xj's have a known issue with the rear leaf packs going soft as time goes. Simple fix is extended rear shackles. Best fix is replacing them with New leaf packs.

Wow, how heavy are these subs?
Longer shackles would help, but if your really brave, you can add a leaf
to that pack from a JY or add-a-leaf kit?
Its just a pain to do, I've taken mine out and re-arranged them like 4 times now. I have yet to find the sweet spot between firmness/comfort,
and flex/performance.

you can either keep the subs and look AWESOME with tons of BASS and have wonky suspension.

or you can ditch the subs and look totally lame with no bass and have proper suspension.

your choice

I'm looking to upgrade with skyjacker soft ride hydros mainly for price reasons and I've seen some OK reviews for daily driver use. a friend of mine suggested getting the 6-8in lift shocks vs the 4in shocks to compensate for the extra weight.. which should I get?

You should measure and buy the ones closest to what you need as far as extended and collapsed length...
Skyjacker is just as bad as other white body shocks...they are all the same.

Also.. shocks arent going to give you more lift, they just dampen the ride..You need new leaf springs.
