Rear Diff question
Pm sent. The noise has gotten worse. Upon acceleration it sounds like metal clacking together if I don't baby it.
A clutch based limited slip rear differentially will make a pop noise when going around corners if you didn't put fluid into it that has the proper additives for that differential.
This would NOT account for a clack clack clack clack clack clack.
A rear differential that has a bad/misaligned ring gear typically makes a high pitched metallic chirp kind of like a lathe.
This also would NOT account for a clack clack clack clack clack clack.

Yes I did... It's highly doubtful that it does because it was never wheeled before I bought it (judging by the condition, lack of wheels/tires, and utter lack of dirt anywhere). That being said, its not impossible. How can I tell?
