I have a 4.5 Superflex kit. My Track bar sucked ***** for at least 2500 miles. I put some grease on the joint at 300 miles, and now 3000 miles later it doesn't make anymore noise. Funny that it took that long. Happy now, It flexes like my yoga teacher

If you chose to switch to a tie rod end, go to your local Autozone and get part number ES2847. The taper is all but perfect. I did this but only until I buy a double shear trackbar bracket.

Heims on suspension components suck.. .02
Keep in mind the stock trackbar bracket has been drilled to remove the taper in it. If you go back to a TRE you'll need to replace it as well.

With RE out of business for now, where can I get a replacement bushing for the axle end of the trackbar? For that matter, other bushings for control arms too...
I recently had the same issue. For the track bar bushing search energy suspension for a universal2 piece flange bushing set that has a bushing outside diameter of 1.5". They are too long though so I had to hacksaw it down to .65 inches on both of them. Then the flange side is .25" thick on the energy bushing but needs to be only .1" thick. I used my grinder to take away VERY VERY messy material until it was the correct thickness. In the end it was perfect
I can't even get the heim joint out of the TB. Ive heated it with map gas and beat on the wrench with a 5lb sledge and I can only get the heim to move a 1/4". There is no rust anywhere on my XJ and I can't get the damn thing out. Looks like I will have to buy a new TB, which is not something I want to be spending money on!
