I have a 88 comanche im trying to fix its death wobble, it has 4.5 RC lift but still has the stock trac bar. it gets death wobble around 50?(i have no spedo) any ways im wondering should i get the HD trac bar with the new frame mount or just get the one the bolts into the stock location? there the same price and m lift will work for both. also it says i need a drop pitman arm for the hd trac bar, do i really need it. thanks

I would do the HD if they cost the same. I am assuming it would be a double shear upper mount on the HD? yes you will need a drop pitman arm with the HD as it lowers the tracbar upper mount a little and you need to adjust the steering to be at the same "proper angle" to limit/eliminate bump steer issues.

just use a ZJ pitman arm, usually can get it for 0-$25 at the junk yard

x2 on the zj pitman arm, the rc one isn't a bad option for the price but there are definitely better trac bars out there

i've got the hd track bar in mine. i also bought the long arm upgrade, which for some reason came with a drop pitman. i haven't installed the drop pitman yet though and no problems so far. i will likely install it anyways just because, but the angles don't really look all that bad and i haven't felt any bump steer driving it.

RC makes a great frame side trackbar mount... BUT the trackbar is weak... honestly the stock bar is stronger than the RC bar... 1.25" (0.25" wall) DOM is not as strong as 1" solid stock

I just installed the basic RC track bar today... I'm sure it'll do the job but I wish it was built a little heavier. I got a good deal on it but will probably upgrade to a double shear bar later on. If the HD bar is the same price I'd go for that.

Going with the hd track bar and zj pitman. Hole this solves my death wobble.

It might, if you have been running your stock bar with 4" of lift and it just developed death wobble it is more likely that you wore out the bushing on it

If you are getting death wobble at or around 50mph.....when was the last time you had your tires balanced? Granted a new/stronger trackbar is always a good upgrade, but it may not help your issue, unless your trackbar bushings are worn. Then the imbalance in your tires causes your wobble and it gets intensified because of worn bushings.
