I have the option to get some ranger leafs for probably free from a buddy.
I know most people use s10 leafs, but do ranger leafs work? and if so, what is the typical height?
I am needing to do mine because the PO used blocks in the rear of my cherokee for the lift, and it rides terrible and sounds terrible as well.

Any leaves will work if they are 2.5" wide, long enough and have more than 4" free arch. How tall, you will have to experiment

Make a straight line from both eyes of the main leaf, then measure the distance to the center bolt. That distance should be more than 4" to be any good at lifting

If you have access to the Ranger that they came from, you can take a look at the door. On Ford Ranger's, there will be spring codes on the factory door sticker. It will be in a 4 digit format, with the first two being the front springs, the last two are the rear springs. For instance, my truck says BBCC. BB is the front torsion bars, CC is the rear springs. C is the heaviest rated, K is mid-range, and 3 is the lightest. These are the weight ratings, I believe. Not much difference, but hope it helps.
C=2750
K=2650
3=2550
C=2750
K=2650
3=2550

Thanks....He keeps saying i just should grab em since his giving them to me for free, but I dont wanna waste my time and energy on them if they will not net the 4-4.5" of lift I will need in the rear.

They won't get you that much without making your spring pack so stiff you won't like the ride. The only ones that you can use for that much is the Isuzu springs
