I want to do an om617 conversion. I'm basically just waiting to source a Mercedes for cheap enough. So far all the ones I've found have too many problems for what they want.

they make a lot that has everything to adapt it to an ax15 manual trans. It leaves everything but the engine in stock location and uses stock starter.

As far as performance I've read that they are as powerful as the 4.0 and maybe a lil more torque with some good tuning.
