Default Quick question on axles

Ok I'm rebuilding an 01 cherokee I put a new motor in it, fixed all the electrical issues , I've been DD it for awhile the suspensions shot, I'm going to go with a 3 inch lift and 265/75x16 on liberty rims
I can get my hands on a set of axles from a 96 Cherokee it's an HP front 30 and 8.25 rear , geared with 4:10s and a locker in the back
With a rough country 3 inch lift for 500.
I had planed to re-gear anyway is there anything I should be aware of with the 96 axles.
and will the 4:10s be good or should i go 4:56 I don't plan to go any bigger than 285/75x16s. It's an expedition jeep that may be doing a trip over seas and across the country. No crazy heavy bumpers or exo-cage.
Think Long distance trips I will be getting a genright extended tank and detour winch mount. and RT tent on top

for that deal 4.10s will be fine. the front will be the ideal big u joint axle, the rear might be a 29 spline, but most likely is 27 spline (still good). i would run those axles with your setup

my 96 came with a 29 spline so it very well could have one too

Default Thanks

Thanks for the friendly reply, I did look though the lift tire section , I've had 11 jeep prior to this one, she's my 3d xj the last two where not to good to me, bad lifts over heating problems blown t case on one.
But I love them so I'm back at it with a more realistic view of my need with the little uni-body that we all love.
I should start a build thread.
