Default Quick and Easy Tire/Rim Question...

Can I put these tires:

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...yp=Truck%2FSUV

On these rims:

http://www.jegs.com/p/Detroit-Wheels...72411/10002/-1

...and if so, your thoughts on the maximum wheel width? Any other thoughts?

(this will be on a 5.5" LA R.E. lifted, semi-DD, with cut fenders... see my build if necessary)

Thanks in advance guys!

So a 12.5" width tire is ok on an 8" width rim? I was afraid I would be pushing it....

alot of guys run that width with a 12.5. I've never heard of any problems. If you were strictly a dd like myself than a 15x10 would be better.

but since you do both the 15x8 is better when aired down as aposed to a 15x10.
no worries, you'll be fine. 12.5 is the limit though. i would get the rim with a 3.75 back space too.

awesome, that is what I was thinking too... This is only my DD when the wife has the truck, so it is more like a 1/4 DD... I wanted to go as narrow as possible, just like you said, so I can air it down...

Do you ever air down yours? If so, to what?

I run a 35x12.50x17 on a 7.5" wide wheel and have 0 issues. I usually air down to about 10psi at trailhead

Did you specifically run a 7.5" or is that just what you ended up with? What are your thoughts on the MTR/kevlars?

I'm running 35/12.5 r15s on 15x8s, I do have wheeling friends that run 37/14.5 r15s on 15x8 rims but that is on a strictly trail machine.

I air down to 8-10lbs for trails and rocks, for snow between 3-5lbs, no beadlocks and I've never lost a bead at those pressures.
