Default questions about 8.25 with posi and lockers

Alright well first I'm new to all this so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I hav a 99 xj with the 8.25 with posi can I put a locker on this, do I even need a locker.

You certainly can put a locker in it! and it depends on if you want a locker... if you should put one in it or not. depends on where you drive your jeep most and if you really need it.

I just got it and plan to take out as much as possible, but it is still my daily driver. I just went out to the desert this weekend and had a blast.

oh duh, haha pardon my dumb self. a 99. yes a locker is great then, since you have a more capable rear axle than the older models. i say lock it and go!

Sounds good I'm hav to save up just dropped 3 grand on rough country lift, rems,and tires, plus an intake and muffler. But that's probably be my next thing to get.

Your LSD is a TracLoc, often refered to as a Trashloc. Even with new clutches it's still garbage....sorry

You can replace the internal components of your Limited Slip Differential (Gm calls theirs a PosiTraction) with a lunchbox locker.

That was for everything rems,tires, intake, and long arm lift with cv drive shaft and yoke slip. It was from rough country and that was cheaper then BDS. So ya hope I didnt over pay to much, and thanks for the link I'm definitely save up for that next.
