Default Question on 01 Cherokee 784 Injector Upgrade

I've been doing research on an injector upgrade. Mainly because I've got the top end apart and to my knowledge, it's still running factory injectors. I figure now would be a good time to make the swap as I go back together with it.

My understanding is that the 784's are a perfect swap for the 2001's?

I guess my other question is where to buy from? I see a lot of them on Ebay, but they seem to come in a bunch of different colors, and from a bunch of different sellers obviously.

Then there are also other vendors like precision auto injectors.

It seems that on Ebay you can get a set of 6 for $100 or less.

Just wanting to understand the differences in all of these variants?

Thanks

I have the 784's in my 99 and they are an improvement over the stock injectors.

I bought mine from a longtime member here on the board "programbo" he sells them rebuilt and ultrasonic cleaned look very nice when I received mine. He is very reasonable in price also, don't think you will be disappointed.

fWIW, I bought mine off eBay. First two weeks were great. Then one completely crapped out on me. Try to buy from someone who tests or guarantees their product.

I went a different route with my '00. There is a place called Marren Injectors. They are in CT. They are local to me. I bought 6 brand new 4 hole EV6/USCAR injectors. Pricey. $320 out the door. I put them in at the advice of an engine builder I know, tops in their field, who owns an '00 XJ too. I know that you can get them off eBay and whatnot cheaper but I figured if I had a problem I would have to jump through hoops to resolve it. So I justified the expense for the same reason that CR-Snow pointed out. If I ever have a problem I just make a 15 minute trip. Another reason I did it was that new stock injectors, my price at the auto parts store I work at, would have been about $225. So I figured for about $95 more might as well upgrade. I do that with a lot of stuff. I was having the window lock problem in my XJ. Just replaced the control unit. Even at my cost I paid about $20 more then for what I could have bought it on the internet for. Thing is if I every have a problem I really do not have a problem. With the exception of doing the job twice. You buy it on the internet what do you do if you have a problem? Or accidentally order the wrong part? Somethings are just not worth it.

I have never saw a single problem with the vendor I posted on and if there was an issue, I bet he would take care of it he has been doing injectors for quite some time here.

yes 784's will work. I purchased mine on here in the for sale section for $80. You do not need to unhook the fuel line from the rail, but it helps. takes about 30 minutes taking your time.
