Default Quarter panel armor! OR-Fab or DB Metalworks

It's time for some quarter panel armor on my XJ. I'm looking at OR-Fab without rub rails (going to fab my own). but I did a search on Ebay, came up with DB Metalworks armor. Anybody heard of them and have some input? OR-Fab is $245 and the DB Metalworks are $220. So not worried about price difference. Oh, and they both have tail light gaurds!

Hmm... I had my heart set on the OR-Fab with the rails, but theirs was intended for pre-97 XJs. You can still install them on 97 and later XJs but the taillight guard won't fit 100%.

I like that the DB Metalworx has a 97 and later version and I like the style of their taillight guards a little better. I may have to change my tune...

the orf guards fit perfect at the tail lights on my late model xj. They fit the same as the do on my 96

Not either brand that you were asking about... But, I have a set from ares fab with the rub rails. It's so sturdy. I hit trees with them and it held up great.

No direct experience with them, but I suggest you take a look at this thread for other ideas- https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/to...guards-110724/

The DB metal works is a member on here but can't remember his user name.Honestly i would get them with the tail light holes for trailer lights. You can get some bright trailer lights and they are stronger and protected better.
