Default Quadratec (Crown Auto) Suspension Overhaul

I ordered new HD leafs, front coils and shocks for my 2000 XJ from Quadratec and had a shop install them for me. The leafs upped my rear height from 16.5" to 20" initially, and driving it around for a few hundred miles has dropped it to around 19.5". Now, I've read that a couple others' have experienced a higher than expected lift from putting HD leafs to replace their sagging stock leafs, but I'm wondering if anyone can confirm that loosening all the bolts while the Jeep is grounded, adding some weight in the back, and then torquing it down will drop it down a little? Also, can anyone let me know if my stock shackles need a little more of an angle and if that will also help lower the rear a bit as well?

Its sitting right where it should be with thise leafs. Yoir old springs were sagging quitr a bit. The hd leafs give about 2 inches of lift over original stock height

Yes. The HD springs will give you more lift because they were meant for folks who carry a lot more weight, tow or have heavy tire carrier bumpers.

The leaf spring/shackle bolts should always be torqued at ride height, or you will tear the bushings up in short order. Don't try to adjust the height by adding weight and tightening them.

Thanks for your input guys. I ended up switching to 3" coil spacers up front to even out the height the best I could. I'm sure down the road each side will settle a bit so for now the height increase doesn't bother me now that it's sitting level.

Nice. Be sure to either get an adjustable trackbar or the track bar relocation bracket to recenter your axle..
