Thanks again for the insight

Probably more common than just you and i with connection issues..

The BW relays you mention, do they have the mounting tab on top? I used those tabs to mount to my ZJ's inner fenderwell next to battery.

My Putco harness worked for about 30 minutes before it crapped out. Does that Borg Warner relay plug right in?

After the lows went off I turned the highs on and they worked - for about 10 minutes and then they went out too.
If I'd been out on the highway at night it could have been ugly!

Yeah, everything is just peachy, except for the lights switching off. I'm 98% confident that it's the relays.
It worked really great when it worked. My stock lights were easily 25% brighter. So if I can get this thing to work by installing some decent relays, I'm all for it.

Most problems are because people don't take the area down to bare metal where the ground wires go. Relays get hot then. Grounds, grounds, and more grounds.

the borg warner relays do not have a mounting tab......which sucks. The PL-RY1's do but I could find no one that carried them.

Properly installed, keeping in mind you need a very good ground and a proper install, this harness is fine and works fine.

Absolutely correct. I feel that relay failure is directly correlated to improper grounding. The ground attachmant point must be scraped down to bare metal.

no low beam on the harness. relays fine, can switch them around and high beams work. appears I dont have power out at the yellow wire coming from the relay connector. suspect its a bad connection, how do I get the wire and clip out of the connector so I can fix it. givin me fits..

Small straight blade or the proper tool I think radio shack has the terminal tool. stick the straight blade in and release the lock pull terminal end out. I had the big red wire push out of the high beam relay connector I had to fix that. No issues since I installed my harness Tuesday night.

Would adding a second ground to either relay help? Or is that not even possible?..
