Default Putco H4 harness

I installed the harness and everything was okay for a day or two, then the lights would not come back on, I disconnect and hook up the original harness and everything works fine. What would seem to be the issue?

I tried hooking it up two different times and both times after a day or so, the lights would not come back on...

No.....I figured they would be good as they were new. If the relays were bad, why would they work for a day or two then stop working? I guess I could get new relays.....

When it comes to electrical things I am retard.....

The lights worked great when the harness was hooked up. Nice and bright, I just wish they would work all the time.

Double check your grounds... also, could definitely be a bad relay. Just happens out of the box on some.

The grounds should be good. I hooked them to the radiator support mounts, where everyone else has put them. Are those relays just standard relays? Like I could get new ones easily?

I think they are pretty standard. I would have to look at mine when I get home, probably just a 5 pin Bosch style relay.

Thanks for your help!

I've bought a total of 4 cheap china harnesses for different cars. One of them had the relays go bad in a week. It was cheaper at the time to buy a whole new harness than new relays.

Any auto parts store should have one. 10-15 bucks if I remember correctly.

eautoworks doesn't carry replacement parts....GRRRRRRR

Guess I will either have to buy a whole new harness or find a relay that works.

Think if it were me I'd be calling up whoever I ordered it from and asking them to send me a new harness.

It looks as if the AC Delco part #E1729 will work ($29.99)

Most people have a problem with the cheap chinese relays.....
