Default PSC upgraded steering pump kit

Hi Jeepers,

I have bought the PSC-PK1851 high performance steering pump kit (https://www.quadratec.com/products/56112_2163.htm). The description says the kit will fit my 1997 XJ.

My problem is that I see no way the reservoir will fit the engine bay. But maybe I'm wrong and some of your guys have successfully installed the kit, However, if the reservoir cant fit under the hood, do you guys know if the steering pump will fit the factory reservoir?

Thanks for you help!

Greetings from Germany

Don't they drill and tap the reservoir inlet on the pump and install an AN Fitting? If so, that pump can only be used with a remote reservoir.

I fabricated my own mount and cold air intake to keep the tank close to the pump. I would suggest PSC SR-VT anti splash vent to keep a little positive pressure on the tank to help feed the pump no matter where you mount it.
