psc steering pump. is it worth it?
My steering pump hasnt been acting too happy since i put in the durango steering gear box
so ive been looking into aftermarket parts and it seems like psc is the only ones to make a high performance pump.. but at 400 dollars its a little pricyy.

is it worth it? or should i go with a duralast for now and down the road go for a cylinder assist setup.

any advice is appreciated.

Look into a V8 WJ pump swap. They flow more then stock and I think all you have to do is plug a line. The v8 wj cooling fan is a hydraulic fan that runs off the steering pump so it flows more to be able to keep up with steering duties and cooling duties. Plug that line and all the pressure will be going to the steering box. There is a write up some where but ill have to search for it after work. Also might want to consider a cooler for the steering fluid too.

It depends on your tires. I'm running a ~32" truxxus MT tire. My steering gear was getting weak and leaking. I replaced it with a PSC. The difference is that I can turn my wheel with one finger. Even before the weakening and leaking of the stock pump it took some reasonable force to turn the wheel. That's what you're going to shell out all the money for on the PSC.
