So I wouldn't need a carrier if I buy the 10 dollar more package?

no, you don't understand. you need to find out what carrier you are running in your axle now. trakloc is a limited slip that came stock. so you need to find out if your axle is limited slip or open. if it is limited slip, then buy the trackloc no-slip. if you have an open axle, then just buy the regular.

there is no real benefit to either(if anything, the regular will be stronger).......it is a fitment issue.
