Awhile back I came across a hood from a company called Baja Fiber that made custom fiberglass vented hoods for the XJ. At the time I thought it would be cool to order but thought I'd pick one up some time later. Well now that I'd like to buy one it looks like this business is no longer around, there is scarce information but one Reddit post made a comment about them closing their doors. Price was fairly reasonable and I think they were based out of California which would've been great for shipping/pickup. I guess the only way to contact them was through social media, it looks like they still have an Instagram account but no response.

From the looks of it it seems like they grafted a JK powerdome hood to an XJ hood and used that as their template. I'd love to buy one of these hoods, anyone have one they're looking to get rid of or anyone know of any companies in Southern California that does custom fiberglass work like this? I wonder if it would be too challenging to take something like this on myself , although far more practical, not really looking at adding hood vents

 

I recall seeing that, didn’t know they went under. I bookmarked this one, I think it’s a cleaner design.

Thanks for sharing this one, I'm not too keen on the cowl style hoods. I did find that the company you referenced makes a Baja style hood for the TJ's. I contacted them by email asking if they would make their 'Highline' hood for a pre 98 XJ but they responded that they're currently not taking on any new projects. Would be super cool to have the intake routed to one of the vents. Looks like I'll have to table this one for now
