Man, so I have read every thread I can find on XJ "door hinge mods". I don't really want to remove my doors now, but I have to because I am welding in some door braces from Hooligan and T&M. I was thinking that while I do this I would add a waterproof 2 pin connector to the speaker wire and replace the OEM hinge pins with like a "trailer hitch style" Grade 8 pin that has a ring on the top and like a little cotter pin on the bottom. I didn't think just changing the pin would create sag whatsoever, but I've read that it can. I was going to replace the pins with pins that are the same diameter. Would that be pointless? If I replace it with one of the same diameter would it be just as hard to remove? I figure the ring at the top would be real helpful to grip it and yank it out, but I've never messed with the hinges before. Do you think that any sag would be created if I replace the pin with another of the same diameter? I can't have sag. I will end up doing way more work than originally if there is sag, so I really need some other eyes on this before I do it.

I am worried I'll mess up my door, but I absolutely have to remove them to add these braces. I'm not cutting the brace in anyway. I've seen that mod and it seems like a bad idea to me. I figured putting pins with the ring at the top might make it a little easier to remove if I ever decide to do it. I could really use some expert CherokeeForum opinion right now.
