Default Performance gains/fuel injectors

Here's my 00 xj

Doing some performance work to try and pep it up a little bit I'm going to do a 62mm throttle body as well as banks header and while I'm at it I was going to do my fuel injectors.

Question 1- I found a chart on here about which ones work for my 2000 it's a couple ford ones and Bosch 784s. Are the boschs factory replacement? Or is it an upgrade? Obviously anything is going to be better than my almost 16 y/o with 93k on them but while I'm doing those other upgrades might as well do this one too. Xf2e-c4b ford ones are 4 hole so those are definitely an upgrade, just not sure where to find them online

Question 2- is it highly ambitious to say with these three upgrades I could see 15 or so hp gain? Or am I just gonna get a new sound and a nicer idle/throttle response?

Thanks!

Injectors will gain you no power. Nicere idle and throttle response. contact Programbo here on Cherokee Forum. He's the injector guru.

Yes Programbo is the go to guy for the 784's and where I got my rebuilt ones, he does very nice work and they do what cruiser said much smoother.

I just did the 784 swap on my 99. I notice better throttle response and it seems to pull harder in the 3k-4k rpm range. I am still in the calibration period for the pcm.

I did 784s and Kolak's ignition kit at the same time. It made a big difference for me because I really needed a tuneup. I can't really say what they would do for gains.

I would love to do a cowl intake, bored TB, headers and a full high flow exhaust but that's a lot of cash for not much power.

Upgraded injectors don't necessarily add HP. they atomism fuel better so the engine runs more efficiently and burns more fuel.

Bigger injectors won't add power either without tuning the ECU to use the injectors.
