Try searching around forums, there have been many threads about that.

Basic list:
99+ intake (if you have an older one)
60mm TB
header and exhaust system
neon injectors
intake

Then don't waste your money or time with spacers and cold air intakes. If you want more horepower that you can feel you need to go inside the engine and do some work. Better cam, up the compression a little, bore and stroke it, etc. Maybe your engine is just tired and in need of a rebuild.

So is a throttle body spacer a waste of time and money? I was thinking of getting one for my 93 XJ. It's got a good engine and no problems, but I am slowly beefing it up from stock and that was on my "to do" list.

You won't feel any difference in the seat of your pants, use the money for a tank of gas instead.

My planns are 2 eventually make it a 4.7 stroker its a healthy 89 4.0 with 80xxx something miles on it was just seeing what's out there that would be worth investing in lol

neon injector upgrade will improve throttle response and idle ,header and free flowing exhaust ,cold air intake will let it breath a little better other than that stroker will improve greatly but its costly

Give it a good tune up as well. When I went to an MSD coil and larger plug wires I noticed a much smoother idle, better throttle response and it pulls hills much better than before.

Been debating on this and a 99+ intake, supposedly it's a nice little bump on the OBDI 4.0's.
