panhard/track bar bracket for axle side of disco 30
who bracket are yall finding easiest to use? building a disco axle and this is the hardest part because of the lack of room and angles... im doing the WJ knuckles and OTK steering so i gotta get the track bar up... i know everyone uses the JKS for the nondisco but nobody said if it works fine for the disco axle or not? id rather run ruff stuff instead... or anyone cheaper then jks... lol

i was looking at theres... i dont think its a easy weld on deal but i think thats the easiest to make work... the offset version... if i cut the stock bracket flat straight up and down right along the inboard side of the spring plate then notch the bracket so its in the inch gap of axle tube and the whole back side can be welded to the old brackets in several locations... i think it will be good... i weld to cast with my flux wire mig (burns hotter) and havent had problems yet so ill weld the bracket to the cast also just for kicks... cant hurt though i would trust welding the whole thing to it without all the proper prep work... then also read people using the WJ trac bar in the stock location on the axle and re working the frame side... but im thinking i read somewhere the stock brackets in the way of the wj steering and tie rods anyways... one of the two reasons to move it ota... i dunno... gonna hook it all up and see... then ill decide... maybe ill do a write up on the best/easiest way to get a aftermarket track bar bracket on a disco axle... already gonna document everything im doing for the WJ swap here... i know theres lots of write ups everywhere else but we dont have one for it yet...

Wow, that was alotta text.
You talking about the handler 140? My father in law has the same. And an OLD Lincoln 240 amp stick welder that is apparently amazing. So...yeah...he makes me jealous. I'm hoping if we *do* move down there he will let me use them on the XJ. He's offered more than once to let me use it, but I think he under estimates my plans for the XJ.
At least I'll buy the spools!
I will probably truss the axle while I'm in there, so I plan to do time tieing in all around.
