Model: Cherokee (XJ)
Engine: 4.0 high output
I have a 94 jeep Cherokee 4.0HO with stock gears and 33 in tires. I know going up hills will cause the engine to work harder and get a little hotter than 210. But last time I tried to go wheeling (it was 110degrees F. outside) and going through the foothills I had to pull over twice to let her cool down and I didn’t even hit the big hills yet. Could no fan shroud be the cause? I have one now along with a grand Cherokee fan clutch waiting to be installed. (New radiator, oem thermostat, aftermarket e-fan on a switch, new pressure cap too.) what you guys think cause I got a birthday camping trip next weekend and really wanna be able to get there. The biggest hill I’ll be climbing is a somewhat steep grade for about 10/15 mins. And what’s the best way to burp the system?
